Website owner

Applicable requirements

The accessibility requirements for products and services are described in Italian Legislative Decree No. 82/2022, which transposed EU Directive No. 2019/882.

Services are considered accessible if they and the information within them are provided without discrimination even by those who require assistive technologies or special configurations due to disabilities.

We are committed to making the website accessible and inclusive, ensuring that it is accessible to all. To this end, we comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, achieving conformity level AA, so that our services can be used by everyone.

Specifically, these Guidelines are based on four fundamental principles:

  • Perceivable

We endeavour to ensure that all informational images have text alternatives so that they can be read aloud by screen readers. When designing our user interfaces, we ensure there is sufficient colour contrast, so as to improve readability. Information and controls are presented in such a way that they can be perceived by the user.

  • Operable

Our interactive elements, such as forms and navigation menus, are almost entirely keyboard-operated.

  • Understandable

We use clear language to describe our products and on our service pages. Navigation is clearly and intuitively structured.

  • Robust

The site is mainly developed with standardised, accessibility-optimised and tested components. During the development process, we use test criteria derived from the WCAG guidelines to ensure compatibility with different browsers and assistive technologies. We regularly test the site to ensure all functions are operable and understandable.

The site has undergone a preliminary technical analysis using automated tools and internal manual tests, and is currently fully compliant with the accessibility requirements of WCAG 2.1, level AA.

The website owner has initiated and concluded a structured accessibility review and adaptation process ('remediation'), with the support of specialised partners. The work to update the website has already been planned and entrusted to Thehouseofmouse Srl, with the operational coordination of our in-house digital unit.

The action plan includes a comprehensive site audit, periodic review of templates, correction of major access blockages and systematic adoption of WCAG 2.1 AA criteria.

Description of how the service meets the relevant accessibility requirements

Currently, the service meets the accessibility requirements of Legislative Decree 82/2022 to a significant extent, in particular with regard to:

  • the keyboard navigability of most of the essential functions (search, product selection, shopping cart, account);

  • the presence of descriptive text alternatives for many product images and functional icons;

  • the use of consistent semantic structures in the HTML code and the adoption of standard components compatible with assistive technologies;

  • a hierarchical, linear content structure designed to be easily read by screen readers;

  • the progressive uniformity of colour contrast and font size, aimed at improving readability;

  • the partial adoption of WCAG 2.1 principles (level AA), with a focus on perceivability, operability and understandability.

  • Some requirements are still being implemented, in particular those related to:

  • the ability to replicate the user experience on mobile devices;

  • technical validation of interactive forms, especially during authentication and payment processes;

  • full usability via screen reader of promotional sections and advanced search filters.

To meet these needs, a technical remediation process has been completed, entrusted to a multidisciplinary team consisting of front-end developers, external accessibility specialists and digital content reviewers. The work included the alignment of the code to the specifications of the harmonised standard EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.1 level AA, consistent with Article 12 of the decree.

The site will be monitored periodically, including via external audits, to ensure full compliance with applicable requirements and continuous improvement of the access experience for all people, with or without disabilities.

To date, no disproportionate burden exemptions under Art. 13 of Legislative Decree 82/2022 have been invoked or identified.
